Going to be sisters for Lai's wedding coming Sat 12.12.09! Together with Bi and Amelia, too bad Ling could not find a suitable white dress, initially she's also one of the sisters.. Well she will still come up with MORE funny ideas to "challenge" the groom & his brothers haa! Oki looking forward though we are inexperienced sisters haha.. =D

Wondering what other plans are there after the wedding lunch... cos only fr 10 till 2.30pm - solemnization + lunch.

Singing with karaoke kakis again? Hopefully this time round, all frens can come together for a good gather and clear whatever misunderstanding they might have?! =)

Bro is "officially" botak now! He went for the hair shave at outside salon haa.. and be entering the Civil Defence Force coming Tuesday. There's a physical training for 8 weeks.. after which will be the vocation i think. How time passes.. so fast! He's alr 20 yrs old! Bleah.. and this reminds me of my age keke.. Oki that's all just wanna post this! Night Night =)

Formula Drift 2009 - 4th & 5th July!

The drifting practices.. competition... was just awesome!!! Or maybe it was just me haha.. I like the noise of the engine.. the tire burning but not so much of the smell~~ Haa! Finally get to watch and at a superb view this year!

First day was practicing for the drivers.
We had to be at the CEC by 8am.
Meeting of the drivers and judges (Mr. Jarod, Tony & Andy) at about 9.30am - Conference Rm.
The day ended at around 5? could not remember..

My task was to be the recorder. Mr. Jarod also the emcee, Mr. Tony as judge for the line.style and Mr. Andy for the angle.style. I'm called Speed 2 for that two days.

2nd day.. one more practice session in the morning.
Competition started and ended at around 5.30 - Champion Tengku Djan from Malaysia.
Met up with YY and JX at the airport and headed home at 9pm. That ended our day. =)

On my actual Birthday.. Jun 19..
Am so happy.. Had a great time! Making food in the kitchen and dinner @ "The Humble House" located at Esplanade. The food and esp the ambience.. Wow.. A day of much surprises~!! Thanks!!! =D

Went Amelia's house in the morning around 11am.. started "war" in her kitchen haha.. First, we made pancakes, our so-called breakfast, which was more of brunch ha! Followed by.. our late lunch for 4+pm, Amelia's "Panda No Bento" for me, my happy face omelette wrapped fried rice for her - the fried rice promise finally, haha. Cute, the panda & bear in the forest!

No doubt a tiring day but fun and fulfilling. Night time, off to Mustafa with Amelia and her family. Think yesterday was only my 2nd time to Mustafa. Much varieties.. think you name it, they have it. We managed to get our stuff and supper at nearby prata shop. =D

My 26th B'day BBQ... Jun 13th, Sat.

The 2nd BBQ after my 21st. Gosh.. time really flies.. 26 already.. so old ha!

Had a great time with frens and colleagues, hope you guys enjoyed too! =)
Frens who came.. Bihan, Laili, Weihao, Eugene, Jonathan, Yanyang, Juexian, Wenquan, Alex, Boon Hwee, Linda, Chervina, Cham, Junye, Yong Liang, Qiuyan, Huizhen, Kok Peng, Ah Hai, Francis Ow, Cindy, Lydia, Rick.. and of cos Meiting, Amelia, Ling, Eng Hui and Poh Kim who's been helping me with the stuff and all for that day. Hope I didn't miss out anyone? Thanks lots for the wonderful celebration and help, guys! =D

We arrived at East Coast around 4 pm.
waited for the delivery from BBQ House and Wholesale.
Linda and her two kids got there around 5+pm.. they rented bikes and cycled over to the pit.. followed by Junye, thks for the yummy dessert tart cake!

started bbq-ing at around 6pm? can't really remember..
Cake cutting around 9+pm.
and yes.. birthday bash too haha..

Stayed till about 2+am with Ling, PK and Amelia. Chat throughout the night... hehz..
Overnight at Ling's pl while PK at Ame's.
Wakey the next morning around 10+am.. unwrapped the remaining presents! Cousins ordered curry chicken and veggie pizzas to share.. Relaxed Sunday~! =D

Okie my previous Saturday..

Done some volunteer work @ FCBC Marine Parade, the Church that Amelia goes to, for the Down Syndrome organization. Felt that we're really fortunate to have the chance to GIVE & SHARE. They're friendly & warm.. We did some handicrafts.. guiding them in making photo frames, after which they can choose to either paste stickers, straw flowers or paper butterflies on it.
Interacting with them.. looking at the happy faces..
Well, it's a meaningful experience for Amelia and myself. =)

Been viewing sg car mart webby nowadays! Amelia and myself, we hope to have a car soon manz! Haa.. but money.. planning to get either a Lancer or Vios. For Amelia, her fav. Subaru R1 still? Well, one of our goals for the near future. Jia you!

Alright, mental blockage.. Nothing much to pen for now.. time for bed.. 2+am le.. still gotta wakey for work tmr! Night! ;P

Well.. I'm pretty much into "Boys Before Flowers" nowadays! The Korean version of Taiwan's "Meteor Garden" or Japan's "Hana Yori Dango". Very addictive drama series.. the F4, my fav. Gu Jun Pyo, PK's Ji Hoo sunbae and Ame's Yi Jung, Mafia successor Kim Joon and the mighty Guem Jan Di and her best friend Ga Eul.. There was one day where I slept at 3am! It was a wkday, working the next day still haha.. think I finished the series within 3 days or so.. ^^
Am having panda eyes again..
What's next to "chase"..?? Haa.

Alright haven't been updating for sometime.. shall do so soon. The meaningful wkends that had just passed.. =)

The photos say all..! Ha.. though it's just simple cycling and ice-cream day but we're definitely enjoying ourselves. ^^

Together with Helen, Linda and her two precious darlings on Sat @ East Coast Park. It's 1-for-1 hr charge of $5 per bike. Very worth it.. we cycled for two hrs haha.. initially thought that our legs and hands will experience muscle pull the next day but surprisingly OK! ^^ Hmm maybe just a little palm ache, haha old liao.

After we've finished with the two hrs.. went for a break and some drinks @ Mac. We ordered two extra-value meals and shared the fries. Each meal comes with a free Coca-Cola glass mug.. this wk's collection is pink. =)
Followed on chatting by the seaside.. while Chervina and Cham out to the beach, they've collected some seashells too. We stayed till about 7+ as Helen wanted to catch the Korean version of "Liu Xing Hua Yuan". Linda dropped Helen off at the marine parade bus-stop where she took bus 135 home. Well, the rest of us headed to Ice Cream Chef for our "dinner" haha.. no la we were not hungry then. Hmm think yesterday was my third time there.

That ended our day. A relaxing Saturday.. Enjoy the pix! =)

Our driving weekends~~

Haha finally post up.. our 3 and 1/2 days of driving experience.. not totally smooth but considered not bad for the first time I think. It's been three mths since I gotten my licence. *Smile*

Look at our tired faces haa..

Went for rounds and rounds of spin with Amelia last wkend, we rented a Toyota Axio from '"A" Car Rental' for Fri till Mon, 8/5/09 - 11/5/09.
Hehz.. it was no doubt a fun and enjoyable driving experience! However, there's some hiccups during the journey that's gonna cost us a bomb, coming Mon..

Alright, what's happened has happened.. no point dwelling over it.. Here's the car! :)

Toyota Axio - Apple green. The car is indeed quite big just like what my colleagues say..
We saw a Toyota Axio - White, well that's our dream colour for cars haha!

Our driving journey.. Day 1 to 4:

First day - Excited fresh start!
Went to "collect" the car at about 12+pm @ Bedok Reservoir View.
Top up the petrol from the originally given 1/4 to full tank (the Caltex near TP), costs about $45 after some discount.
First thing we did, parking! Haha.. if we can't park properly, think we cannot go to most of the places. So practise time @ the multi-storey carpark near Ame's house..
Next, Amelia's cousin house @ Siglap for the 3-point turn & parking again.
East Coast Park -Big Splash, went to "Old Town" for our late lunch.. think is around 2+pm. Had prawn noodle while Ame, Ipoh Hor Fun. Yet to try the Nasi Lemak, looks yummy!
Drove off to Changi General Hospital for an errand and back to Ame's house.
My office carpark for 3-point turning and parallel parking. Though not well done.. but still managed to park nicely into the lot. It's about 5pm le.. saw my 2nd Boss coming out from the office side door haa.. hide hide abit keke..
Next, to Kallang Mac carpark for both parallel and reverse parking.
Time for some dessert @ Gelare Siglap haha.. before our dinner @ Ame's cousin house.
Parked the car overnight @ Bedok 110 carpark.. $4.50 cos we've forgotten that the next day is a PH -Vesak Day.. free parking. ^^!
Smooth driving today. =)

Second day - Super tiring & sleepy!

Back to home sweet home, wash up abit.. the weather so hot!
Meet Enghui & Alex @ Parkway for dinner at Sakae Sushi, thus parked our car @ the multi-storey carpark OMG... super squeezy two-way!
Went "Old Hong Kong" @ Katong for some drinks..
Drove back to Ame's house, parked at the multi-storey and bunk at her pl that night.
Not so smooth driving for us that day.

Third day - Feeling just normal.
Intended to wash the car but.. haha couldn't wake up so... and it was raining quite heavily that morning.
We both wakey at about 8+am.
Drove to Expo. Ame's church service every Sun.
Back to Ame's house nearby for lunch.
Take a nap hee..
Back to home sweet home - Dinner out with family for Mother's day @ 85 Market. Ordered a few dishes to share as we are small eaters.. fried oyster, hokkien mee, sambal stingray & sugarcane juice with lemon.
Ame came to fetch me @ 110 Bedok and we drove out again!
My turn to drive.. Katong - Marine Parade - Pasir Ris -Tampines -Ame's house multi-storey carpark.
Alright, that ended the day. Smooth driving for today. =)

Fourth day - Last driving!
Waited for Ame @ 110 Bedok as usual.
I drove to my workpl.. time was still early so we went for breakfast @ Roxy 1.
Parked the car at my office's carpark till 1pm. Rainy day..
We had to return the car by 2.45pm to the same pl - Bedok Reservoir View.
We gotta pay for some car damages.. wonder how much in all. Have to wait till Mon when the workshop ppl access the damage condition of the car. Repairing alone, est. about $350+ plus the two days rental charge (cos car at the workshop) about $170 for weekdays.
Well.. we know that accidents are sometimes inevitable.. no one wants this to happen. We've been alert and cautious so I think lack of experience and judgement is the cause.. think we gotta drive more often, gain more experience and thus improve. =) Hmm.. but exp leh..

What do you think of a guy who borrows money from his girlfriend...?

A seldom-contacted friend ask for help for his bf.. and i have a bad feeling.. definitely i'm not going to fork out the money cos i dun even know the guy and have never seen him before,just thinking will it be another similar case that happened to one of my friend.. I've asked her a few questions..

- The guy is 3 yrs older than her
- Wants to borrow 1K from my friend, saying for his business
- When asked how long have they been together, at first my friend did not answer, but later she replied 3 yrs and asked why do i want to know (isn't it obvious)..

I didn't reply or probe further as it's not nice to.. but somehow just had this weird and bad feeling about this matter and that guy...

Hrs later.. after my friend persistantly sms me asking if I can help.. I replied and said that I'm unable to help in this. Know what horrible scary reply she gave.. she said then she will die tmr. What the... do you know what u are doing, WAKE UP LAH!!
Feeling rather annoyed by the foolish answer she gave.

Just got home sometime ago. =)
Went to Chai Chee Secondary School (CCSS) 40th Anniversary dinner @ Bliss Garden - Expo. The 4 yrs we spent there.. and time really flies, it has been 10 yrs since we left the sch, wow! Together with Alex, Enghui, Jingjia, Bihan & Lai. A 9-course dinner, singing of our sch song was the first - this surprised us. We were like looking at one another haha.. followed by photos of past years events and ex-students! Ah, and lucky draws! Haa.. but too bad, I grab none.. 40172 was my ticket number. Oo Lai was lucky, she got a Clarins mist spray hee. Okie.. on the whole, this event was pretty successful.. it has brought many ex-teachers and students together.. all happy faces around! Such heart warming.. how I miss those days.. though I was really quiet at that time haa. Fortunately, managed to have friends like Laili, Kelvin, Bihan, Jingjia, Ashura, Xiao Ping, Norhayati, Asrindah and Peiling then.. So glad.. and of course a few of them have become my closer frens now! Yeah. =)

Hmm.. the crowd was more than we expected.. Ex-students, retired & current teachers, sch's drinks seller uncle, cake seller auntie and their children attended. Drinks uncle won a 3D2N to Phuket wow, can go hoilday le.. The food was ok.. not bad.. for $50, think it's worth it. The ambience was really like a wedding banquet! Round dining tables for 10, the lightings and candle lights all that haha.. and they were saying today is sort of the "electricity saving day"?.. forgot what's the actual term, thus they off the lights for an hr, using only the candle lights on the table hee. We were also given little cards whereby we can pen our well wishes for the sch. After the dinner, all of us had the intention of going home.. guess we were too tired to go anywhere.. Jing, Bi & myself went for a drink @ Bedok Mac till about 12+ before heading home. That ends our Saturday! Best wishes CCSS, more anni years to come! =)

Oh. the news just now - more than ten thousand Uni grads are currently jobless. market is bad.. Co's business much affected too.. heard that shipments is only about half of the good times.
Let's hope the situation and economy gets better!

Hmm.. just borrowed some recipe bks from Bedok library.. want to bake bread, make ice-cream and sorbet. Shall see when i'm free and has the mood hee.

Lai and myself were squeezing thru with the crowd at the IT show yesterday haha. The crowd was crazy. Well.. managed to get a Mickey head mp3 player! It's unique i would say. pinky colour. =)
After the squeezy time, finally out to Marina Sq for our dinner at Lerk Thai. Nice food, esp the crabmeat roll like Ngoh hiang.

Went AMK with PK last Sunday for the 'Hao Zhou Dao' steamboat hehe.. think i'm really a glutton manz.. Well.. that's part of life. Okie a little updates.. just to share, I've finally gotten my photocard licence! Passed my TP on 5th Feb. Hee happy.
Right now, economy is bad.. lesser shipments meaning we are more free.. let's hope that the economy will pick up as time goes by..
Hmm.. had a nice day.. though i did nothing much.. In the morning, went to collect my driving licence from the post office, surf net, facebook and watching tv. Watching "Ai Jiu Zai Yi Qi" now.. Wanna catch Guess x 3 later.. missed many episodes already.. Alright, jia you Ling! I'm sure you can do it and do it well. =)

Went to Shangri-La Hotel, "The Line" dining place on 160109 for Co's CNY dinner. The gather for CNY was early this year. =) Hmm.. food was varieties.. hee.. but dun think we can take pictures of those. Anyway majority of us are small eaters! Oh.. and a few of us dare not eat fresh oysters.. sort of wasted, cos the buffet was $70 per pax and Boss was telling us to help ourselves to more food haha.. but we were just too full liao.. Too bad no "Lou Hei".. Alright, as usual shall upload some photos taken among ourselves instead! =D
I put on weight even before CNY o0ps..

After dinner, some of our colleagues left early while the rest of us continued to chat. Ivan recommended a nice place to slack for drinks.. Timbre @ Old School.. an open concept kind of bar. Five of us, Francis Ow Yeong, Linda, Adrian, Ivan and me. Not bad.. the place is windy and there's live band performance too! Songs dedication.. =)

Recession.. bad.. this year's increment is little.. My colleague said kns.. But at the same time, think we should be thankful that we still managed to hold on to this job, while many others are probably out of job currently. Also be glad that we still had some bonus this year and the monies in earlier than usual (CNY eve) hee. Ok.. shall not say too much. One should sometimes count their blessings! =)

2009, hope to be able to pass my driving.. a change of job scope, maybe to Sales just like my sales colleagues.. earn and save more money.. balanced diet and lifestyle.. exercise a little more.. travel.. and my beautiful dreams to come true..... keke..

有时候，有些事情的真相真的会让你吃惊。因为真的在你预料之外，或许也从没想过原来是那样。我也不知道要从何说起。就三天前吧。。。
我们公司的 stock taking period。。 8-10日。。
有一个非常自以为了不起的人! Stupid auditor! Hell... 只会用嘴讲，不会做。头脑四方! Spoiler.. 我们货舱的人都不喜欢他。最可笑的是，小老板还让他 in charge 这次的 stock taking。在公司，看起来还不错，可是。。。
不过，有时人真的有些恐怖。。我不是怕这些人，而是觉得他们真的很失败，那么虚伪。有时候都已经不知道可以相信谁，人心难测吧。。他会讲不会帮忙，没办法，可是不要还自以为了不起 hor pls! Very pissed off esp on the 2nd and 3rd day.. 我们被分成几组，个有不同的地方要找。找完后，就把货单交回给他。他一直说我的写法很乱，hello 看不懂可以问我，不要只会说乱! 还一直坚持自己的货单方式最好。。跟这种人一起工作sian! 为什么我们会说他的头脑四方。。货单对于电脑后，数量完全准确，你还会无聊到再叫别人数多一次吗!

REALLY CANNOT TAHAN THIS KIND OF PEOPLE, GONG. Seems that I'm bad maybe, having said all that about him but really cannot make it. If you don't really know about certain things, shouldn't you at least be more humble? Yaya King! Not humble still nvm.. still want to take charge of everything in the warehouse. Who do you think you are, come on Finance Manager only, not warehouse supervisor lor. In fact, I think he don't even know how to read the location and some tyre patterns lor, cos he keep telling me to write down the location when I've long written. What the.. He's more naggy than a woman, likes to keep repeating people's mistake.. But anyway, I don't care, I just talk back if I have reason. There are more stories.. here's just a tiny part. It's really sad sometimes when you got to know the actual situation. A colleague of mine teared that day..

Went for a hair cut with Amelia today, to our usual salon, "Reds". =) Hmm.. new short hairstyle.. we are still trying to get used to it. For mine, more like a teacher/student hairstyle ah.. looks funny. We were saying wanna go for the real bob hairstyle next time round, cos it's not obvious for this haa..

It's been some time since I last blog.. hehe.. just had abit of curry with bread, thanks to Kok Peng and his wife for the yummy curry.. =)

Out with my cousin Irene, Bihan, Laili, Boon Hwee and Weihao yesterday. We went for steamboat at Kallang - "Da Chang Jin". Hmm.. think so so only.. for the price of $18+.. not much variety.. Bihan brought two logcakes which she made together with her chef, the taste was real good! We like it very much and said to order from her next time. =)

After dinner, we went to Lai's friend bar cafe at Arab St. - Merdandy Bar & Cafe. Newly opened on Christmas day I think.. ambience is not bad.. we had our logcakes there. Taken some pix and uploaded in Facebook too!

As for driving.. had finished all the modules.. now booking lessons for revision. =)
After much practise, managed to see good improvement finally! My that strict instructor finally said ok yesterday. Phew.. but of cos can't slack, still got room for improvement.
Test date in a mth's time.. fast..
Though I don't have 100% confidence to pass but will give my best!

How time flies.. year 2009 is approaching.. any new year resolution? One of mine is to pass my driving! Ha..
Co's stock taking days are coming, Jan 8, 9, 10 and maybe 11.. might have to go down to help..

Finally I managed not to stall the engine today!! So happy... really.. though it's nothing that special but it's like after 12 lessons manz.. was so tired of instructors telling me about my clutch and engine stalling.. low morale.. think they were rather pissed just like me of myself then ha.. But today is good. Hope to be able to maintain today's standard and improve on other weaker areas during these test routes.. =)
Again, learnt some right techniques from my 2nd instructor (Mr Lau) today.. U turn and right turning. He's rather straightforward in his comments but that's definitely better than not telling you much but just keeping quiet, plain "nagging" or being sarcastic. Ok gotta book my lessons fast..

Happy Birthday Aloysius! Together with Juexian and Yanyang, to Yuancong's boy bbq just now. He's three years old already.. Hmm nice gathering.. as we seldom get to meet up due to timing, work and other commitments. This little boy was so active haha.. running here and there.. playing balloons and catching..
Shall post some pix when have! Our next gather will probably be during CNY.. looking forward to full attendance.. =)

Lunch, out with Boss, HB, Adrian, Serene and Cindy. Joo Hin restaurant. Already quite full but still went on to Four Seasons for durians. After that, went HB's house to slack awhile while waiting for my driving time. Chit chat with his family.. watched tv..
Night, the bbq hee.. food food and food wow..
Though I love to eat and enjoy good food.. but was really too full for the bbq liao.. so didn't eat much..

Met up with Agnes and Pk at Cityhall yesterday. We went to an Indian restaurant at Suntec basement - Bombay Cafe, for our ala carte dinner. Haha and ordered quite a few dishes! Hmm.. cauliflower with tandoori taste that goes with some prata type of bread, mexican thosai, some starters, mushrooms wraps and samosa. Hehe just the three of us.. wow very full dinner. Shopping around after our dinner and then, supper and desserts time! 我想，能吃是福吧!

Am back from Co's Phuket trip two days ago.. missing it already haha.. I'm always like this, in holiday mood after trips keke.. and it will take some time before my working mood is back. Lol..

Amelia came to send me off that day. =) We arrived T2 around 10.30am.. had Mac together for breakfast.. ordered hotcakes with sausage meal and Amelia a sausage mcmuffin meal. Happened to saw Serene and her family there too.

Had a nice trip, relaxing till I don't feel like working so soon again.. needed more rest.. think quite tired recently. I even missed my dizi class yesterday, cos just feel so sleepy and tired that I decided to head straight home after work for an early rest. Really sorry Amelia, she went by herself.. but no worries will sure be there next week. Alright back to the trip.. The first day we arrived Phuket at around 2 plus Thailand time (3 plus SG time), checked in our rooms, rest a while and then played Pool with Lydia, Francis Ow and Linda played Snooker while Ah Hai and Ching Hock played table tennis. Haha.. so funny the few of us.. nothing much to do around the hotel actually.. At night, we took a ferry to the nearby area for our dinner. Hmm.. good ambience but exp.. the food was not bad only, small servings and long waiting time haha.. but alright, guess we still enjoyed ourselves and the food. After back to hotel, bathe and went to "Loy Kratong", the lounge for some drinks and live band performance. Mr and Mrs Lim, Betty and husband, Adrian and wife and Francis Ow were already there haha we (Lydia, Linda and I) were late.. and the live band was only till 11.30pm. Thus, 2nd day, all of us took the shuttle bus to Patong Beach. Journey was about 40 mins, but many turnings on the road.. Linda and I felt some giddy and like wanna vomit.. After alighting, cannot tahan anymore and went for a quick lunch at the basement foodcourt. Francis, Ah Hai and I each had a bowl of noodle soup, i tried the Thai way of eating - added raw sugar into my soup. Linda a milo while Lydia and Ching Hock just accompany us. Saw Betty and her husband, Mr and Mrs Lim there too, guess all were hungry then hee.. Shop around after that.. at the nearby shopping centres, Carrefour and the shops across the road. Quite a few seafood restaurants there.. this time round, big servings and nice food ha.. we esp like the lala (flat clams) and it's gravy with rice! Yummy.. and the price was reasonable too. One bad impression about Patong Beach, the drivers don't obey the zebra crossing lines (maybe different traffic rules?).. it's so dangerous! Imagine they can still keep on driving even when they saw a mother and a child wanting to cross. Alot of night life and westerners at Patong Beach.. those pubs and night clubs.. ermm think got Thai girl "Tiger" show also. Didn't buy much except some snacks for that night's "party" haha! My colleagues bought 18 cans of Singha beer too. Nice night together though! =) Chatting and joking in our room 3320 haa.. Lydia, Linda and I shared a room. Hock Beng as usual the funniest.. others, Francis, Ah Hai, Adrian and his wife, Serene and Boey Choo. Haha they keep calling Lydia and I "Yati"~ wanting more beer..

Didn't sleep well the first night, super sleepy the next morning manz.. had very light breakfast.. this is the day we went to Patong Beach. Weather at Phuket was nice.. not too hot but a little humid, slightly better than Singapore. Hmm.. for those who love shopping alot, might find Phuket quite a boring place.. but it's definitely a very good place for de-stressing and some good good rest. =)

Think there has been quite some changes for most of us in recent years.. like work, relationship, studies bla bla.. Guess it's part of life, changes.. be it good or not, a passing stage where we have to go through.. just try to stay happy and not to worry TOO much. Life is such.. though interesting but also fragile.

For my 5th driving lesson, the same instructor as previous, which is good. Practising more on the road.. As usual changing gears as well as lane switching, stopping at traffic junctions and turning at low speed control. We have to react fast so as not to hinder the traffic, still bucking up on it. Also.. was briefed on the bonnet and boot of the vehicle. Been through 3 lessons with this instructor.. so far still alright.. have to improve on my "take off" speed - foot always not getting ready at accelerator, my bad habit.

Was taught by another instructor yesterday, he's repeating what I've already been doing for my past lessons and turning my steering wheel instead of me doing it myself aiyo.. but actually felt quite bad for my tired attitude.. Anyway just know that every instructor have their own way of coaching. Follow their instructions and see which method is better for you, cos it's not possible that you listen to everyone of them right. No matter what, they have the common aim, that is to teach new learners. Though kana say sometimes, but nevertheless, learning to drive is still fun and I enjoy the process. =)

Haha heard from Jonathan that some instructor fell asleep during lessons, some more when coaching fresh learner wor. . . dangerous..

I still have lots more to learn..lessons tmr, Sat and Sun! =)

Went to "Tuk Tuk" again yesterday, this time round with Lai. She wanted to print some stuff and after that we went for our dinner. We had Phad Thai, fish cakes and clear tom yam seafood soup. Haha the fish cakes are huge.. and lastly our complimentary dessert - tapioca kueh and sort of banana kueh. The dessert I wanted had been sold out. Haha we were quite surprised when they brought over the dessert. This is my third time there so far.. nice food and reasonable price, can be even better if there are more choices of dessert hee. Glutton me! =)

4th driving yesterday..

Was late by a few minutes. Same instructor as on Tuesday.. Finally had a chance to be out on the real road! When I got into the car, he just told me later we will drive out. Hmm was alittle nervous at first but rather excited and better after a while. Did few rounds of turning before out to the road. Since the previous lesson, this instructor keep insisting that real road is nothing compared to as in circuit.. outside is just turning and turning bla bla.. but my thoughts, it's different, real road is real life situation that we have to handle, this is what I answered him.
When out on the road, I was to keep changing gears up to the 4th and then slowly change down to the 3rd, 2nd and so on. Haha.. have to play with the speed and gears, cannot be afraid as it will be even difficult to learn when you are scared.

But still, I find this instructor abit weird..

3rd driving today - Rather fed up just now.. but had cooled down much much.. This time round was taught by another instructor, his facial expression looks fed up and the way he talks too.. I know.. He corrected my steering and the way to use the clutch, saying that the way I turn the steering wheel is wrong and messy.. which the previous instructor didn't say anything about this.. He keep saying he should not be teaching me all these already and the previous instructor should have already covered bla bla... keep comparing that some instructors might have alot of "pattern" (their own way and not following the book) and for him he follow closely to those shown in the advance theory & traffic police handbooks. Compare and say say say.. haiz.. feel like want to sleep at first. But! I did learn quite abit today about the correct way of steering (half turn & full turn), as well as where my hands should be positioned while turning and more practise on the clutch pedal (previous instructor did touched on too). Quite glad but am alittle confused.. their teaching methods are so different.. This current instructor will pin point my mistake right away. But, he will also compliment you when you do well.

To say, I dun really like this instructor but his teaching method is still alright and more strict, which is good. I prefer the previous instructor cos felt more relaxed under his coaching and think he's more patient or should I say lenient? Maybe he's more open to new ways of teaching. Hmm.. there are always pros and cons right. But have to pay additional $10.70 per lesson for a fixed instructor.. exp ah.. Wonder is it better..?

Met with a little dramatic scene just now.. As I reached my floor level, a small girl was shouting for some help.. two kids (her friends) were stucked in the lift, i called the lift maintenance hotline, 1800 275 5555. The maintenance technician was fast or partly because the kids have been stucked in the lift for quite some time. Anyway, the technician got it fix within minutes and the kids pulled out. There were some procedures before he left.. have to take down certain particulars of the two kids, like their names and where they live. During the "rescuing" process.. many other kids were around too.. their friends.. super noisy and "chaotic" haha.. so much noise shouting here and there till the technician also cannot tahan.. kids nowadays ha... and to these little kiddies i'm an auntie.. how time flies~ hee.. and there's this little boy who is a chinese-malay.. in his malay costume, haha quite cute. ^-^

Didn't do much things today.. morning 10+ woke up, had my brunch, mama cook.. at the same time watching Chn U's repeat Taiwan drama (Prince turn frog), met up Lai a while at Bedok and now i'm home blogging! Ha.. I like home-cooked food. :)

Amelia, Alex and myself were invited by Lai to her fourth sis's church wedding, which is today. Photos of the couple, songs singing, prayers, solemnization, photo takings for the family, relatives and friends and lastly followed by a lunch buffet. Met a few CCSS teachers too.. The couple will be holding their wedding dinner at Carlton Hotel tonight. :)

Taking my driving now! My 2nd lesson yesterday. Hmm.. excited but nervous esp during the 1st lesson, hoping that the instructor dun ask me to drive. But, guess it's just a matter of getting used to the car and main thing is not to be afraid (very very important!). Once you are afraid and starts to panic, you will not be able to control the car well. Haha the instructor keep telling me not to tailgate.. my bad habit! And then when the front car stops, I start to panic cos the distance is too near.. Another bad habit - vision focus only at one side. Have to look further, further.. need to brush up on my turning for sure! Next lesson will be on 30/9/08 @ 16:25. :) have to apply for early dismissal liao..

Am thinking....

One's mind seems to become more complicated as they grow up.. especially mature adults! Come on, mature adults leh.. that's how my colleagues are. Sometimes really getting fed up.. Complicated to the sense that you don't understand and know what they are thinking. Simple things can also be made not simple.. aiyo.. Though my office is small, but still there are politics.. sian.. but guess politics happens everywhere when there are people.. It's very sian when you see this colleague talking behind another colleague's back, cos you never know they might have also said something about you to another. But anyway, i don't bother so long it doesn't affect me much. Some said those more direct are actually better than those who keep to themselves all the time.. True?

You get to see their true self as time passes by.. for some not much changes while some, getting too much.. eg. even returning a bank book to our Director's desk, can also think too much and be so lazy. Really hor.. this type of people.. faint..

Went to Shamim's house yesterday and learn to cook this fish from her sis.. taste good though it's a simple dish. Just marinate with some salt, tumeric powder, chilli powder, cumin and fry it together with some curry leaves. It's sort of an Indian cuisine.. Her sis also cooked Nasi Lemak for our lunch. ^^

Shamim is going back to Thailand tonight.. anyway enjoyed the catch up! :)

Had dinner with Boss, Uncle Hock Beng, Serene & Uncle Adrian just now. Super full still.. haha what we had.. first to Old Airport Road for main meal fried kway teow, fried oyster with egg, satay and dessert. Followed by durians @ Four Seasons, somewhere in Joo Chiat. Haha they ordered 5 big ones manz.. it's real good stuff but couldn't finish so took some back. Boss also ordered for each of us two black pepper crabs to take home.. Think can skip breakfast tmr le.. haa.. super duper fuu..ll now~ the burp smells duriany keke.. Tmr morning will be just a hot milo kosong for me. :) But, really thks for the good food today! ^0^

Oh ya there's a newly opened Thai restaurant nearby my workplace @ Katong that serves pretty good authentic Thai food.. reasonable price too, can try - "Tuk Tuk". That's our lunch together with Boss, Uncle Adrian, Victor, Betty and Serene yesterday.

Met up to celebrate Alex's bday (in adv) just now. Total 9 of us.. The b'day boy, Jonathan, Bi and her bf Junjie, Fu An, Weihao, Eugene, Lai and me. Hmm.. we dun gather often but there's always lotsa fun and laughter whenever we meet up haha. We first met up together at Eunos mrt about 6pm then took bus 61 to a coffeeshop at Ubi for our dinner. Ordered quite a few dishes.. butter squid, stir-fry kang kong, hotplate tofu, fuyong egg and lemon chicken. Bi had to work OT thus got there about 8.20pm. They ordered sweet and sour pork and a vege to go with rice. Hmm on the whole the food was not bad.. esp the butter squid! Lai's fav too but she dun eat the squid haa.. already missing the taste of the butter squid keke.. Alright time for bed soon~ waiting for my hair to dry.. eyes tired liaoz..

Tire Training in Bangkok 29/6/08 - 5/7/08

Arrived SG about 11:30pm last night. The one week course is over and we've all "graduated"! Haa.. we each received a certificate for the completion of the course. Had a sense of satisfaction and learnt quite abit about tires. Very playful and enjoyable trip! Happy times always passes by faster..

Alright our 7 days in Bangkok..

Day 1 Sunday:
We gathered at the Budget Terminal @ 4pm for check in and for some snacks and drinks after that. Our flight delayed about 30mins. Haha we were saying what a "good" start. Arrived BKK time 8+pm. Hotel people came to fetch us and we went for dinner together with the driver at one of those roadside stalls. The noodle soup and pig trotters were good! Many stray dogs there.. Then to Rama Garden Resort Hotel. Wow.. that's my first impression when I reached the hotel, it's better than we expected (cos heard from those who went that this hotel is quite ulu). We each got a room but Lydia and I shared one cos we are scaddy cats haa. All including our course mates were on level 3, Kenneth 3084, Simon 3094, Ivan 3095 and us 3096 and we left 3097 empty. Haa first day gotta rest earlier as lesson next day.

Day 2 Monday:
Bus waiting for us 7:30am outside the hotel. Off to BFTCC for our course! Distance is really farrr.. not sure how many km but it took us about an hour to reach there. Haha and most of the time we slept throughout the journey. First thing was introduce ourselves. I had to say I'm from Customer Service dept. and not logistics haa. Learnt about the tire construction and the materials used. First 3 days' lesson was on technical part and last 2 days were for sales & marketing. Two technical lecturers, Mr Yamazaki and Mr Thierry. Sales & Marketing - Mr Kenny. Lesson goes on bla bla bla....
Class ended about 5pm everyday. As usual, dinner at the place we had the day before. But, halfway through, heavy rain poured and had us all soaked. We went in to a restaurant just next to the roadside stall. Ivan's treat for this meal as he felt quite guilty I think. Ordered Phad Thai, stir fry pork, squid and pig's trotter. The food was not bad but we preferred the roadside stall instead.

Day 3 Tuesday:
Visited the Nong Khae Factory. That's where the tires are being manufactured.
Class we hands-on to balance tires as well as dismount and mount tires. We were given a coverall to wear plus gloves. Size S coverall was still too big for me.. think I look like a santa claus haha..
Took the hotel coach to Central World and walked to MBK. Nothing much, 4 of us settle for our dinner at a Thai restaurant. Ivan was sick thus didn't join us.

Day 4 Wednesday:
As usual, wakey for our course. Back to hotel about BKK time 6+pm. To dinner.. We tried the Japanese restaurant in the hotel. Hehz.. using the credits cos BFTCC gave each of us 500 baht daily. Back to hotel bathe and sleep.

Day 5 Thursday:
Went to the Thai restaurant in the hotel. This time round with Esther from BSAP too. Shared a few traditional thai dishes like pineapple rice, phad thai, spring rolls bla bla..
Early back to room for revision to prepare for our exams the next day. Slept slightly later think about 12+am.

Day 6 Friday:
First half of the day, lesson. Then after lunch, exams! Yeah.. results not out but we got our certificates first. But bad news is.. gotta send our cert back if we fail the exams and also the results will be sent straight to our young boss. Haa.

Day 7 Saturday:
Free birds! Went to Chatuchak shopping! Many stuff we can buy actually keke.. lotsss.. Hmm initially I still had 2000+ baht and just this day all gone.. left with only 70 baht and I had to borrow some from Simon keke.. But, the best spender was our Mr Ivan haa.. bought sooo many clothes for his gf and himself haa.. and even got a big bag (for those selling stuff) to put them. Lolz.. and no doubt he's always making us laugh.

Forgot which day we went to the italian restaurant.. shared pizzas, squid ink spaghetti and some garlic breads.

I believe we all had a good time huh?! I always kana tease by them.. Haa.. all the fun and laughter. We felt sleepy almost everyday haha.. yawning and yawning away. The sales lectures was sort of dry.. and one funny guy from Bridgestone M'sia - Christopher, he called himself the BSTM - Bridgestone Trouble Maker haa.. kept asking questions.. making us even more Zz..z..z..zZ... haha.. But one good thing was, quite a few breaks in between. Just outside the classroom.. there were coffee, tea, ovaltine and some small bites like cakes, pineapple tarts and cookies.. we esp like the smooth & yummy butter cake! Also, we will walk around and to the garden outside to take some pix..

Sometimes after our dinner we also had some drinks at the lobby lounge. Relaxing with the music and piano.. :) Overall, this is very rare and wonderful experience for me. Thanks to Binter (the Co. I'm working for) for this great chance. I enjoyed the learning process and the chats we all had during and after class. Some of them might be going for the advance course some time in Nov. Ok shall post some other pix when I got it. :D

Tmr is back to work again. The routine admin and logistics stuff OH..!

It just seems like i OUGHT to know everything... sianz.. everyone coming over to me asking this and that. When i said "I am not sure.. think it's best you ask the person doing.." then someone will have things to comment.. "How come you are not sure of her stuff and she's not sure of yours bla bla bla.." Ans: Cos i'm not the one doing it and in fact not even "touch" on it once. Am slightly fed up actually.. cos it's not the first time. They always like to approach me FIRST, which i find it funny cos i've just been there for 3 & 1/2 years.. and hello, I'm just an admin asst not a pro leh. It just seems like i have to bao ka liao (do all).. and it's kind of wierd that i'm getting even busier as time goes by, adding on to my task.. Alright.. enough of my letting out. Tired.. i guess i just have to learn, learn and learn. I do welcome learning new things but NOT everything.

Met up with Jing and Lai on Wed after work. We had dinner at the Thai restaurant next to the Mac at Bedok interchange. Lai's order was Seafood crispy noodle, Jing's claypot chicken rice and mine was Ame's fav order - pineapple rice. Haa.. not bad it's top with some meat floss i think. Wow.. it's been real long since our last meet up with Jing.. we hardly had the time to gather nowadays, with everyone getting busier. Hmm.. and time really flies! Haha.. majority of us felt we had not got enough time to do our stuff, be it work or school projects bla bla.. everyday seems so occupied and rush. Am feeling that the whole day just passes by without much things done keke.. Alright maybe it's common when one is busy ba.. few of my friends agreed too. Chn 8's 9pm drama is up now - "Jue Dui Jia Ren"! Sad show.. esp for Zoe Tay's character in the drama.

And.. yesterday had lunch with Uncle Adrian, Victor and Boss at Waraku. Yesh it's Waraku again haa.. Boss like it. They ordered so much food manz! 8 pieces sushi, both vege and prawn tempura, two side salads, chawanmushi and each our own ala carte - curry udon for Victor and me, Cha Soba for Uncle Adrian and Boss Katsudon. Wow wow.. super full! There's still cake after that keke.. only Boss and Mr Teo each had a small slice haa. As usual, the 'Awfully Chocolate' very very fudgy cake.. super sinful de..

After work was to Lai's place. Haha and to my surprise, Bi was already at Lai's house when i got there. Keke.. and their surprise for me - the traditional yummy choco cake! Had my 2nd b'day celebration over the weekend with Poly gang - Amelia, Yong Liang and his gf Qiuyan, Quan, Ting, Timo and Pok. Had a great time! Heez and this was the Hei Rens from them. Aren't they cute?!! :D
We went KTV Chinatown in the afternoon - 1 to 5pm. Timo and Pok then joined us @ Chomp Chomp for dinner! Ordered quite a variety.. Chicken Satay, Fried Oyster with egg, Hokkien mee, Carrot cake, Sambal sotong, Stingray, Dan dan with yam paste and the gigantic sugarcane juice! Haa! Then next to 'Ice 3' for chocolate fondue! And not forgetting the supper - Punggol Nasi Lemak with Timo, Pok and Ame. Wow..! .. eat and eat and eat~

The bag from Agnes, JX and YY, plus a cute mini Cj7 (on my office desk's wall). Like the design and colour! quite unique.. ^^

Done a few things over the weekend..

June 7th:
1) My early b'day celebration. With Yanyang, Agnes and Juexian. Thanks guys! =)
2) Spageddies againz.. vegetarian sizzler is good.
3) 2nd time having my favourite Tiramisu @ California Pizza as well as 3 new desserts, Chocolate Banana cake, Apple crisp with caramel and the warm chocolate souffle. Heez.. food again right?!
4) Tried Lebanese or Middle East dishes @ Holland V. With the same gang except Jx.

Today:
5) Just had my hair rebonded to pure flat @ Reds! Haa.. they called it the soft straightening/rebonding. Same for Amelia. Think this is at least the fourth time we rebonded our hair.

Tmr is back to work.. Serene is on leave till Fri and i'll sure be super busy again haa! It's okie.. a good challenge for me! Hehz..

Going Thailand for the Tyre Training this month end! Hmm.. mood is rather excited and abit nervous? I guess. But no doubt, it's good to learn and explore new things that's out of the usual routine job. :D

Went Parkway with Lai just now.. as usual on weekends, quite crowded. Walked around and had some coffee at the Banquet foodcourt. Kopi C kosong, with cream but not sugar. Healthy and thick. Hmm.. suddenly we thought of the friends we had.. somehow we felt are getting fewer as we grow up (that's what my colleagues told me too).. think we had many acquaintances in life. Real friends are hard to come by.. so do treasure them. :) As most of the time, we tend to take things for granted, unknowingly.

We are all growing up.. and few years have passed.. glad that most of us have found what we wanted to do. Slowly stable in our job.. and not to forget, a new start for a friend, gambate for your new job! :)

Hehe just a thought, wanna open a cafe next time if possible.. for people to slack and chill out after a hard day's work.. many are living under stressful atmosphere.. Anyway just thinking~ :)

Another new week tmr.. At first thought i had cleared almost all of my stuff and my desk was "clean".. but, things came in again on Sat and my desk is in a mess now haa.. 4 days to clear my work before our Genting trip! Hoo.. finally the long awaited holiday.

Had a very filling lunch.. haha and slept from 5+ till about 9.30pm just now! Lolz.. so tired? keke.. Lunch was with Mr & Mrs Lim at a seaside restaurant near NSRCC. The recommendation is Asam fish head, the gravy goes very well with rice. They ordered dishes like onion omelette, chicken wings and fried squid with garlic. Hmm.. quite yummy but cos mostly fried food thus abit oily.. am too full that i had the thought of skipping dinner. Haha but i still ate alittle la.. still room. Anyway, it's a cool and breezy place, even in the afternoon. Not too hot, as we were seated under the sheltered area plus the sea breeze.. Might wanna go there again! Heez..

Met up with Amelia at about 10.30am.. went cycling at East Coast around noon time.. haa i got alittle black and Ame's skin was slightly red.. think sun burnt.. Initially wanted to bring the sun block lotion but forgot.. Anyway, we cycled for nearly 2 hrs! Hehz.. long time didn't cycle le.. our legs got tired easily. :) But.. haha all the calories burnt = Macdonald lunch.. fillet meal, nuggets meal, ice-cream and green tea.. gone lolz..

Went back to Parkway after that.. shop around.. The Face Shop and Borders. Ame's parents came to fetch us.. to the place where Ame will go for interview on Mon. Wow far lo.. Yio Chu Kang.. then we had dinner at Hougang. Initially, we wanted to try the "Punggol Nasi Lemak", but the queue was super long.. so had the famous "Midnight Curry" instead. Not bad.. the starchy type of curry, with rice and other dishes.. Thanks Ame and her parents for the treat and car ride! Had a good day.. ^^

Had Heng Hua dishes for lunch just now.. it's at Yishun Blk 700+, quite near the interchange.. Zhen Zhuan's friend joined us too. The food was not bad.. Xiao Ye ordered "Lu Mian" (Lor Mee), it's diff from those here, the taste is totally diff and is milky white with veges, mushrooms and tau pok.. and a kind of shell, fried fish and sliced pork. Went Northpoint shopping centre after that.. where Xiao Ye bought some CD-Rs and then we left Yishun. Zhen Zhuan and his friend to Marina Sq while Xiao Ye and me waited for Helen at Jurong East MRT. Then, to IMM haa.. Yesh and finally gotten our thumb drive.. :) Today's a colleague day keke..

Like the review YY wrote for the drift event.. and esp the videos.. :D

The event's finally over. Haa.. Think all of us had a good time on Sunday.. and of cos' drained out as well keke.. but no doubt it's fun! This event will be for up for the next 2 years too.. till 2010. Might be a night one for the next as many complained about the unbearable weather.

Wakey 4.15am that day.. Linda gotta wake up even earlier cos fetching me at 5am. Though tired and sleepy, but still excited that morning. Went for our Mcgriddes breakfast.. and then off to Boey Choo's house. Haha such a coincidence, my colleague stay so near to Quan's. Arrived at the CEC about 6.10am.. heard from them that there will be a briefing at 6.30 but.. we are the earliest.. and i saw one of the drifters, "Mad Mike" (came in 3rd)! Haa.. didn't get his signature doh.. Started preparing all the stuff at about 7.. gates opened around 8.30.. crowds from far.. We've all been stationed for the day, thus didn't get to watch the drift race.. too bad.. Some of our colleagues didn't had lunch.. like Kok Peng, Serene and Betty.. Ya and congrats to our colleague, Ivan for coming in the Top 10!

I'm for the VIP lane.. saw Hock Beng's family, Yong Soon's family and our old Mr Lim and family (our HK Boss & his son). He's soo happy haa..

The event ended super early.. by 4pm the race ended. Some of them just came a while and it ended thus complains came.. Yes, we did state that the event will end at 6pm but you came at about 4.. isn't that abit late too. Who's to blame? Lolz..

If next year's event is for the night, more costly as strong lightings is needed.. plus the big LCD screen, better sound system bla bla.. many loopholes were discovered.. but think we will be more prepared the next time round. It's an eye opening experience for me. :) Haha besides our routine desk-bound work..

Most of us slept at about 8+pm that night.. too tired.. didn't even watch the news keke.. and next day back to work at the usual time.. shagged..

On Tuesday after work, Boss treated us to a dinner buffet at Fullerton Hotel - Town Restaurant. Haha.. it was a super last min gathering. Initially Wed but heard that he wanna play tennis so...

Yeah and today's Labour day.. Going out soon.. meeting Xiao Ye and Zhen Zhuan for their hometown cuisine @ Yishun.. might be meeting Helen to get a thumb drive later. Alright, have a good rest. Shall post some pix when have.

Hot weather.. was at the site just now.. walking around the whole area with Cindy, Linda and Helen. Majority was not in good mood.. esp our young boss, manager and Uncle Adrian. Should be stress ba.. event is just 2 days away. But all the hard work is worth it, cos all the 10,000 tix were sold out! Many people bought tix at the last min.. cos within a few days, about 5000 tix were sold.. Well.. I'm in charge of the VIP ticketing.. Binter grandstand and Goodyear grandstand. My part is to direct them to the correct grandstand, distributing bang bangs, caps as well as the lanyards. The rest who's doing ticketing.. Cindy, Helen, Boey Choo and Lydia & Betty's hubby for the public grandstand. Hmm.. dun think we'll get to watch the drift.. sad..

Gotta be at the CEC by 7am on Sunday.. My first time involving in such a big event.. excited haa.. Might be meeting up with the rest for breakfast before heading down.. wanna try the Mcgriddes breakfast.. though some said not very nice..

Went dinner @ Changi Village with Lydia , her hubby Rick and Ah Hai just now.. we had the famous Nasi Lemak. In a single hawker centre, 3 stores selling the same thing and somemore just next to next.. very competitive manz..

Met up with TJ for dinner @ Marina Sq.. as well as pass him the tix to the Drift event. Haha he said the food at Spageddies is good, thus we went. Hmm indeed.. yummy pasta and cheesy garlic bread! You will seldom hear me saying certain pasta is good cos i don't really fancy pasta. But, this is real good taste. Will sure go back again for that Grilled Chicken _________. Not sure how to spell it. TJ ordered the Chicken Cabonara. In fact, i just had pasta with Bi, Lijun, Lai, Eugene & Weihao yesterday keke.. Changing Appetite. I ordered the creamy cabonara and lychee cooler, our favourite drink.. 4 of us had that haa.. Eugene had the chocolatey sinful drink, think his diet plan was off for the day keke..

My Saturday...
1) Uncle Hock Beng came to fetch me about 8.30am. Met up with Boss and Uncle Adrian @ Roxy 1 for breakfast. Haha that's their usual Sat's routine.
2) Went to fetch old Mr Lim to the two warehouses. Saw his antique house hehz..
4) For lunch, we had kway chap at Pasir Panjang near Alexandra Distripark.. near my poly
attachment area. Old Mr Lim's treat keke.. first time makan with him manz..
5) To Shaw Ctr, where our roadshow was held. Stayed for awhile before heading to Cityhall to meet Lai.
6) Went O Chacha cafe for some tea breaks haa.. we had the matcha freeze.. Can try the
matcha pancake too, not bad.
7) Met up with Ame and Pok for dinner @ Bugis. Actually was also to celeb Pok's bday in adv..
then off to KTV!

..slept at about 4+am.. sort of sleepy just now haa.. Wakey at about 10+ and went to have our breakfast cum lunch at the hawker then to the new Leisure Park. More than half a day gone..
We have the same thought that time is really flying.. haha.. There goes our Sat and Sun.. tmr is another new wk again! Hmm.. might have to follow my young boss out for his "mission" this coming wk.. exciting? Keke.. not sure doing what though.. preparation for the Formula Drift (FD) event~ looking forward to it actually.. :D

What a busy year 2008 is..... just recovered from the flu.. never had a good time to rest and stop for some slacking at work, like i had in the past yrs? Hehe.. yeah sometimes only of course.. keke.. Been a busy bee all these while.. think it will last till maybe after May or June..? Though i've always say i prefer to be packed..

More work... and at times more mistakes.. aiyo.. this is bad. But, we are really trying to avoid liaoz.. To sum up, this new inventory system really means ALOT more work for us.. haa.. and Co's event is just round the corner. Young Boss is super busy esp.. running from places to places, getting phone calls enquiring about the event bla bla.. Most of the time he's not in the office. The first time and organising such a big event.. heard from our manager that he didn't sleep much these days.. still sending emails 2am in the night.. But a good thing is, he's willing to go all the way to get things done. Determined.
We will all get even busier starting from next wk.. the WH guys gotta start the preparation on 25th. Tyres to be trucked to the exhibition ctr, thus finding haulier for that.. and those imported cars coming in very soon.. Heard that young boss booked a chalet for them to stay overnight.. hmm.. wondering which chalet did he book.. the nice bungalow that Pk booked in the past or the scary ulu one? Eeew..~
If it's the NSRCC, me wanna stay too leh.. but think it's not possible..

KTV-ing with Lydia, her sis and friends yesterday. Met up Lydia and her hubby for dinner @ Bugis 7pm.. Amelia joined us for the dinner. Went to a Thai restaurant Jerk Thai. We ordered some dishes to share.. pineapple rice x 2, fried glass noodles x 2, chicken with basil leaves x 1, tom yum soup pot x 2! And.. Amelia her ala carte seafood kway teow. Haa in the end we couldn't finish.
K @ Chinatown Partyworld, total 7 of us. Actually the main purpose of the meeting.. think they wanna match make 2 of their friends.. the way they teased them and things they said.. it's really very obvious lo.. We sang till about 2am.. went for porridge supper after that. Tired.. sleepy.. it's been quite some time since i last hang out till such hour.. K.O. when it's 3+am haha.. and i pig till 1+pm just now! ^^

Brought Bi to try the Jung Restaurant just now.. mentioned about it in my previous entry.. Hehz Bi thought the food was not bad too.. :D
Below were those we ordered keke.. Bibimbap - it comes with soup, Chao Nian Gao, some side dishes and the grape drink! Hmm i thought the grape drink was sort of unique from the look heez.. and after the main meal, dessert was served. In all, we spent total of about 60 bucks.. should be still alright ba.. and their service was good. :) A newly opened restaurant, think they might have to do some advertising to create awareness.. else difficult for others to notice the existence of this new place. Would say that this is a nice place to have a quieter meal, for those who wanted some peaceful moment at times..?

Bought a Kimmidoll - Ayame (smallest version), initially wanted to get the Misaki doll but it doesn't come in the smallest & medium size. There are altogether 18 collectible figurines ranging in 3 diff sizes.. The biggest figurine is nicer though.

Met up with Ame & Lai @ PS just now.. hmm sort of last min thingy.. haa.. went shop shop and makan. Bought some biscuits and snacks at Daiso too! Nice snackies.. haha ate some on the spot le. :) My colleague bought chocolates from there not bad too..
Hehz shopping day.. Lai bought a hard mat pillow that's comfy for her neck and head.. Ame, her favourite - pc games haa..
Think gers are forever not satisfied with their outlook keke.. ^^

Went to a newly opened Korean restaurant called "Jung" on Friday for lunch.. just nearby my office with Boss & Uncle Adrian. Especially love the "Chao Nian Gao", Good taste! Kimchi was very fresh and well mixed.. Think their cooked food is better than the shabu shabu (steamboat).. but still it's worth the try.

Some of us were born with obvious talent in some area. For the rest of us though, it can be unclear exactly what we're good at. We may go through the early part of our lives feeling mediocre or even below average, because other kids seem to have innate gifts that we don't seem to possess.

Well, we're all good at something. We're not all geniuses, of course, but we're all born with, or have the ability to develop, the aptitude to do exceptionally well in some sphere. Some of us just haven't discovered it yet. Or perhaps we simply don't recognise it as a talent.

Some of us find it difficult to feel good about ourselves also because we talk negatively to ourselves. Some of us take criticism badly. Some of us are so insecure that we rarely venture beyond what we're used to. As a result, we become trapped, not daring to try anything new, yet wishing for things to become better.

Once you've convinced yourself that you're good for nothing, it can be difficult to restore a healthy sense of self-worth. But here are a few simple things you can do to help you feel better about yourself.

Remember when you were a child playing at the beach? And you built your first sandcastle? It might have looked more like the ruins of a sandcastle, but it made you feel good. There was a sense of 'Hey, look what I did!'.

Think of ways you can feel this way again. Look around you, at home, at work; try to discover new and more effective ways of doing things. Maybe you could re-organise your space. Put up some curtains. When someone asks for your advice on something, don't see it as an inconvenience. Share your knowledge! Assemble a shelf. Try a new recipe. Maybe even create one! Paint a picture.

You don't have to announce your accomplishment to the world. Whether people know about your achievements or not is not important. The quest for external validation is what made you feel inferior in the first place.

Had dinner with Agnes & YY just now. JX was still busy at work so didn't join us.. Met up @ Cityhall MRT at about 7.30pm and headed to Bakerzin. Hmm food was not bad.. My order was Curry Linguini. It tasted like Laksa haha. :) Agnes's was her favourite full-of-mushrooms type of sandwich and YY's was seafood pasta. Hehe as usual took a few pix of those.. mine majiam like eaten halfway..

Went to the foodcourt @ Suntec Convention Ctr for another round of warm drinks.. initially wanted to order Teh Halia.. but no more.. so ended up Agnes had normal teh kosong, YY Teh Si and me Chrysanthemum tea. Chat... about work bla bla.. left about 10.30pm.

Haha and now me eating again.. lolz.. Mama's home cooked food. Asam fish with rice. :) So missss home cooked food now..

Gotta really clear my navition stuff ASAP! ..if not sure gonna get scolding.. things are forever piling up.. day after day.. time is really not enough.. Each day passes by so fast.. haa Serene had the same thought.. but thanks to her help, i managed to get a clearer picture of those export SO invoices. :) Now is time to get it all done.. shall put my shipments aside for the moment.. Mon will be clearing time! Chong ah..!

Had lunch with young boss @ Waraku just now.. Cindy went off le.. Serene's not free and Betty doesn't wanna eat. Haha as expected he did asked about the navition thingy.. ya that's what lao ban will always wanna know.. Asked me about my views on this new system and how well have i adapt to it bla bla... mentioned that this system is not difficult but we need time to get used to it and it's usually after a few times of hands-on..
Hmm.. it might prove to be useful in the long run.. say stock inventory will be more accurate? ..our sales person can ownself access to get details of tyres and stock balances.. but of cos that meant more work for us too keke.. heard that this system costs a bomb thus we have to ensure that the in & out stock tally.. else it'll be a headache for both warehouses when time comes for stock-taking.
These few days' entries are all about work.. ps.. guess it's similar for all when it comes to working life ba..
Okie.. time for TV, Diao Man Gong Zhu's nice.. ^^

Finally been to the warehouse! Heez.. @ 24 Pandan Rd. Pple working there.. Francis Ow Yeong, Lydia, Boey Choo, Ah Hai, Yusri, Ah Siew, Ching Hock, Mahendra, Sinnapan, Nava and Perumal. The 2 brothers, Xiao Ye and Xiao Yu are helping Uncle Kok Peng @ Benoi now. Hmm.. the environment is better than i expected.. We had fun.. chit chat, joke around and of cos have to do real work. My main purpose was to help enter the location in SO (Sales Order invoices) for export shipments, did help out in the rack labelling thingy, saw how Ah Hai remove the labels & barcodes on those tyres too.. tough work for those who have to deal with containers.. some more it's raining the whole day. Hmm but when all of us unite to get things done, that's the spirit. It was nice.. and satisfying when done and had our dinner after that.. Ah Siew went out to buy dinner for us.. there's mui fan, hor fun, bee hoon horfun, fried rice and hot milo! Haa.. very full cos the serving was quite huge. By the time all was done.. it was about 8pm le.. waited for Marcus (our young boss) to be back and went off together. Off to Mac @ West Coast with Linda & Francis Ow, Xiao Ye, Adrian & young boss followed up soon after. Hmm.. like the "ambience" there.. hehe sort of romantic? Keke.. just nice la.. Uncle Adrian had his dinner then and ordered additional nuggets for us too. The rest of us had some drinks.. coffee, ice tea and mango smoothie. Too full for more food.. haha all surrender liaoz.. Overall the experience was a good one! Haha initially thought of going down next Sat if poss.. cos it's my Sat off.. and so sudden i'm sort of sent there today.. keke.. :)

Haha for me.. permanently there is less possible.. cos of the travelling distance. It's a problem for me.. hehz.. too far and have to wakey very early wor.. though that's how a few of my warehouse colleagues travel everyday. Hmm.. so dun think i'll consider ba.. though no doubt today was a fun day. Working in office and here is very different i would say.. office is usually quiet during work while here.. more talking hehe.. but of cos as heard from our warehouse supervisor, at times there are quarrels and arguments too. But of cos.. being there only for a day and for a period of time is different. Oh ya.. and finally got a lift from my drifter colleague, Ivan keke.. and yeah his driving is speedy.. about 1/2 hr we got to Pandan le.. ^^

Got home about 9.45pm just now.. Linda sent Francis and me home.. drinking my yummy yong tou fu soup now.. mama cook.. Been eating the whole day.. had Mac for our lunch.. young boss bought lots of fries and a few burgers for us. Me had Filet-O-Fish. :) Work and eat at the same time lo.. cos all busy busy.. plus phone calls keep coming in.. and the Auntie there make coffee for us.. so nice.. :)
Ok... as usual waiting for my hair to dry.. then sleep.. tmr is of cos back to office. Haa..
Think the rest of our office pple should have a chance to "explore" both the warehouses. Next i hope to visit Benoi.. look for Uncle Kok Peng hehz.. okie shall see when's the chance..

Tired.. real tired this time.. work is never ending.. 9 shipments on hand.. plus import and export packing lists not yet entered into the new navition system.. trucking.. All of us are so tired and some stressed up by the learning process of this new thingy.. to my colleague, this system is more complicated as compared to the previous that they used. Serene started on the system few days ago.. so was my teacher for today hehz..
Just started creating export pack lists today.. not yet touch on imports. Time is running out.. Manager keep rushing us for this and that.. but think warehouse is worse.. much more things to be done.. all in bad mood.. People from DP Tech guiding us these few days.. Lucily for our office while Zhen Zuan helping at Pandan.. heard that he clicks well with Xiao Ye.. cos hardly meet pple from own country ba.. and Chandra hopping from place to place haa.. Think as we get to hands on more, it's not difficult but just need us to be more careful while keying in the tyre sizes and so on.. :)

Finally cleared the 5 cntrs to Benoi.. storage fee incurred is not less..
Think our young boss is planning on having another one-day roadshow for the drift.

Oh ya.. and our Genting trip.. hehz.. probably in Apr or May? Hope majority can make it. :)

Busy day! Ha.. work work piling up again.. have to clear clear clear.. Everything wanna ASAP.. Alright, now is almost time for bed. :)

Celebrated Weihao's b'day just now. 9 of us! Lijun, Bi, Eugene, Fu An, Jonathan, Alex, Lai, me and of cos the b'day boy. We met up @ Bedok Interchange at 7pm and went to the Kopitiam nearby for our sumptous dinner.. Haa.. there are chilli crab with fried buns, butter crab, baby kailan, fried fish tofu (tasted more like fishcake rather than tofu), yam ring and rice. Hmm.. the food was not as good as being advertised on tv (HDB Taitai).. haha which was why in the first place we wanted to give it a try. But ok la.. not that bad too. :) Haha they were saying this store should also take part in the variety show whereby the storeholders are trained to be a better cook. Lolz.. but all funny cute pple gathers.. and that's sure a nice dinner! Went Mac after that for second round of drinks.. chat till about 10.30pm before we headed home. Lai and me were quite sleepy doh.. Eh.. think this dinner is on Weihao, Thks & Happy Birthday! :) All food hunters haa.. where's the next place..?

Been rushing tasks these few days.. tired.. but at least time is being well occupied.. Changing of new inventory system makes all of us busier.. more things to be done, more EXTRA work coming up haa.. Unlike the past, now we have to key in import and export details, unit prices and also to make sure the stock quantities is of 100% accuracy.. Our warehouse colleagues have to stay back almost everyday till abt 8+pm.. just to enter all those stuff.. somemore is after the 3 days of stock taking.. Time is running out.. cos the new system officially starts on Monday.. thus office pple are helping alittle too.. Eh.. and heard that the "software pple" (DP Technology) will come down on Monday to "test" us.. haha but we don't even have much time for hands-on. Well.. we will see how things go in a couple of wks lo..

Went for bak kut teh lunch @ Joo Chiat with Uncle Hock Beng and Boss just now. Wow.. so exp sia.. 3 of us $108! ... cos of the abalone.. half a can for $65! If without think it's only 40+.. But the bak kut teh was good.. the taste is stronger than the one @ Clemenceau Ave (Mohd Sultan).. In all, we ordered 3 small claypots of bak kut teh, you tiao, seasoned salted vege, glass noodles with prawns, abalone with soup and yam rice.. Next time can go back again but not with the abalone dish of cos keke.. Hmm.. alittle pai seh cos Boss always treat us when lunching with him.. haha though he will say wanna treat him or not? Hehz..
Boss said we've been here before.. just that i've forgotten. Oops.. again the signs of getting old haa..

Alright.. that's all for now.. thought of taking a nap later keke.. but seems abit late le.. tired easily these days.. Zz...zZ...z~~

Last Saturday was Co's roadshow @ Shaw Ctr for the upcoming event - Formula Drift Singapore. Actual event day.. Apr 27th, Sunday @ Changi Exhibition Ctr (same venue as the Air Show). It's an on-going event from 9-6pm. 27th is also Pok's b'day.. :) Hmm.. my first time participating in a roadshow.. fun! Haa.. :D

The Emcee was good.. keep helping us to promote our event and showing passers-by the polo tee's design and so on.. haha and also bought gummies for us keke.. we are still "small kids" after all.. and he's excited abt our sellings too..
The job of Emcee is not as easy as we seem.. they have to keep talking even if the public is not responding.. have to liven up the atmosphere somehow.. not easy but he did it well.. and guess our young boss will ask for him again if we were to have such events in the future. Hehz..

The thing that caught my attention was....

this Ford GT.. Wow.. this car is real nice~

Was told to be there abt 9.30am.. Linda came to pick me up.. we were earliest haha reached abt 9.. went for our Mac breakfast.. Linda had tea and hashbrown, me.. egg muffin set.. yummy.. been long since i last had mac breakfast.. Another colleague Ivan got there abt 10am. We started to clear and set up abit.. Hehe Linda & me got the chance to start up the engine of the Ford GT! :) That attracted alittle crowd over doh..

Not much crowd in the morning till noon but as the time goes by.. more and more pple were attracted by the car and moved nearer to take pictures bla bla.. alot of ang moh tourists.. In all we managed to sell nearly 300 tix that day! The day before was not bad too.. 140 tix.. and Sunday they sold all the remaining.. think total abt 565 tix sold.. Hmm to me.. i find such roadshow "fresh".. cos we are always in the office.. this is something different from the routine work, though we had to be there from 10am-10pm. On and off they will start the engine to attract even more crowds haa.. as well as the good job of the Emcee of course. :)
Many came to help that day.. besides the 3 of us, young boss, DJs and Emcee, Jason and gf, Ricky, Colin (one of the drifters) and Kwang Wei (young boss's bro).. wow alot haha.. and Hock Beng came down with his wife too..
We had to wear the "Goodyear" buttoned top.. haha hot day..

Started to pack up arnd 9+pm.. all were tired.. as usual Linda sent me home.. didn't get a chance to sit in the drifter's car still keke..

On Sunday.. Mr Lim came abt noon time.. Me went down with Bi abt 5+.. see see and chit chat before we went for our dinner at Orchard Tower foodcourt. Not bad the fried hong kong noodles..

Think the whole company will be involved on Apr 26 & 27.. had to go down to prepare and set up i think.. haha looking forward. :) Heard that some of our sales person will be ushers..? Anyway good price for the tix.. only $11 per entry if you get it now. Thru sistic website, 2 tix for a free event polo tee. Actual day will be $16. It's free standing. Alright mental block now.. can't think of what else to write liaoz.. shall pause here. Knocking off at 5pm tmr hee.. Ok take care guys.. wanna go slp soon.. panda eyes go away..

Went Jing's house for cny visiting just now.. hehz.. Thursday is the last day of cny le.. they call it "Yuan Xiao" and also the Lunar Valentine's Day? Haha.. heard from Bi just now.. Reached Jing's house about 8.30pm.. had some snacks, chit chat and watched the chn 8 9pm drama "Yuan Zhi Hui" while waiting for Bi. Hmm.. it's been quite some time since i last went to Jing's house.. Sotong me.. forgot to bring oranges.. haha and Jing had to "lend" me..
After Bi arrived.. went to the coffeeshop near Jing's house where they had their dinner cum supper and continue chatting till abt 11.30 before we headed home.. that ended our day.. all very tired.. sleepy.. rest early ba.. Nitez! :)

Just back from the Carlsberg dinner. Yanquan's father got the entrance tix so Pok and me went too haa.. Hmm.. the performers were singers from Taiwan, Hong Kong and also the Mingzhu sisters, Ah Nan & Mark Lee.. but we didn't stay till the end thus didn't get to watch Mark Lee's performance.. haha wonder will he say his famous line in the movie" Ah Long Pte Ltd".. "Ni Ji Huai, Wo Ji Suai lo".. keke..
Dinner food was ok.. fondue, bee hoon, fried rice, deep fried prawns, fried fish fillets, siew mai, glutinous rice balls in ginger soup, longtong and we took lotsa fruits haha.. Guess all were happy to watch the performance and gather there.. it's like quite a big event for those Carlsberg's dealers.. even the GM of Carlsberg came, from Denmark i think.. mostly hokkien songs for the older folks.. and a few chinese new year songs..
Very full sia.. plus the main drinks they served was Jolly Shandy, Stout & Carlsberg beer! Too much gas.. haha.. Yanquan and Pok each had 2+ cans of Jolly Shandy le.. ^0^

The door gift..

Met up for Lo Hei with Agnes, Yanyang, Pok, JX, Bi and Amelia yesterday.. @ Chinatown Ba Bao restaurant. We ordered the CNY dinner package for 5-7 person.. wow in all $240 wor.. that's exp.. and a few of us were not very satisfied with most of the dishes. After the dinner we hopped to Vivo for Haagen daaz! Then for the night scenery.. and to Clarke Quay for our supper @ Coffee Club haha.. like the recommendation by a staff there named "Sri" (Mr Friendly), Slipper Lobster Linguini.. yummy.. Pok and me shared.. We've been hopping from places to places just for food~ keke.. and then off home le.. CNY will be soon over.. this coming thurs.. maybe will go Lo Hei againz? If yes, this will be the fifth time i lo hei for this CNY haha.. but i like yu sheng so no prob keke.. and CNY is only once a yr.. :)

Guess will be sleeping earlier tonight.. tmr's another new week! Need energy for work ho.. been out these few days.. ^^

Happy Lunar New Year!!! i'm alittle late i know.. Here's wishing all a good Rat year ahead! :)

Whoo..! CNY had gone by a few days.. so fast.. alright shall have alittle update after some time.. Hehe..

Well i just came back from my co's reunion dinner for this lunar new year.. A chinese restaurant called "Lao Beijing", located @ Novena Sq. Hmm.. the food there was of course good. Yeah we had a very satisfying dinner. Linda sent Cindy and me back.. We were glad that there's more of such gathering now as compared to the past.. haha think either none or only during the Co's yearly trip which started 2 years ago. At least for now, we get to see one another occasionally. Hee.. :)

Da Nian Chu Yi (1st day):
Went to Ah ma's house.. As usual we are the first to arrive every year haa.. followed by my cousins + family and then Uncle Ah Yong + family.. then Gor Po's whole family. Had lunch cooked by uncle Ah Yong. Yummy braised duck and curry.. i love it! And the mixed veges.. had 2 servings haha.. Met up with Ame and JX after that at Tampines small Mac. Chit chat and had some drinks.. next to Haagen Daaz for ice-cream sharing! Mmm.. sinful ah.. haa.. Back to the Mac to look for Carol, from Sun Express, one of my Co's haulier. And it's going home time. :)

Think during CNY season we sort of let loose alittle on goodies and yummies ah.. keke.. must have put on some weight manz.. been eating since eve of CNY.. and till today still.. Sat going Lo Hei with Agnes, Yanyang, Bi, Ame, Pok and JX.. Sun will be another eating day againz.. Aiyo.. although there's a saying "can eat is fortunate" (loosely translated).. but to slim down again is not easy wor.. haha.. my colleagues are controlling too..

Da Nian Chu Er (2nd day):
Hmmm... nothing much basically been at home till evening time. Met up with Pok at Tampines interchange and together to Ame's house for dinner and Lo Hei. Hee.. my favourite Yu Sheng! Esp the one made by Ame's mum.. I love to eat that.. alittle sour & sweet.. We stayed till about 10+pm. Home. A rather simple day.

Da Nian Chu San (3rd day):
Out to NTUC to get the ingredients for steamboat. Friends coming over the next day. Evening.. met up with Bi, Lijun and Weihao @ East Coast Jumbo for our CNY dinner. Ordered Yu Sheng, chilli crab with deep fried buns, butter crab, Seabass with black bean sauce and a vege dish. Wow.. full. Haa.. Too bad only 4 of us turned up. After the meal.. stroll to Mac to meet up with Alex and Boon Hwee. To Shi Nai HK cafe for drinks.. left at about 10+pm.. Bi and Lijun went to catch the "Ah Long Pte Ltd" @ Tampines.. haha.. think Boon and Alex too with their friends. I went straight home as i had to wakey early next morning.. haha to prepare the steamboat and stuff lo..

Da Nian Chu Si (4th day):
Wakey at 7am.. bathe and started to prepare the soup base for steamboat as well as other side dishes. Lai reached my house around 9.30am.. much earlier then i expected. I'm still preparing though.. About 10+am, Yati arrived. Prepared some Bee Hoon (cooked by my mum), sambal prawns and chicken rolls for Yati & Lai.
Bi 12.30 while Jing about 1.45pm.. Steamboat started soon after that. All are small eaters haa.. Alright, Pok reached my house about 2.20pm followed by Ting and Quan. They had the steamboat too. Oh ya and all of them like the prawn wrapped with potato thingy i bought.. deep fried. After the main meal.. all had mango puddings.. Ame arrived about 4+pm. By 6.15.. all left.. Pok and me went to Bedok Princess to catch "Ah Long Pte Ltd".. haha in for a good laugh i would say. Esp Mark Lee's actions and the way he speaks.. Show ended at about 10pm.. and headed home, get ready to sleep EARLIER, next day working (today).

Hmm.. actually all along i have heard that our office probs was worse in the past.. compared now is far better. Glad that some colleagues managed to tide over those tougher times.. they even cried.. and it's because of our Boss that they decided to stay on.. Esp for Linda, Cindy and maybe Helen..
Time flies and for some it's been more than a decade. Things are changing all the time.. and of course we hope that it changes for the better or at least stay the way it is as now if good.. Things are unpredictable though. A step at a time ba.. :)

Hehe.. got 2 red packets from Linda and Hock Beng today! Keke.. Linda passed to me just now before i got off her red Hyundai haa.. while Hock Beng early in the morning haha.. Thanks..
